Shepshed Dynamo reveal retained list

Shepshed Dynamo have confirmed the names of those that have been retained by the club following the 2022-23 season.

Goalkeepers Brandon Ganley and Matty White, as well as defenders Shaquille O'Neil Brooks, Jahdahn Harper, Jordan Smith, Jordan Wakeling and Luke Zona, midfielders Joel Nketia, Niall Prenderville, James Snedden and Karl Whymark and attackers Leo Farruch, John King, Cam Moore, Sam Moore Reece Morris, Shaun Ruzvidzo and Leke Shodunke will all be staying.

Meanwhile, the club say they remain in discussions with defender Jiah Medrano over staying. He made 36 appearances for the club last year. He then signed on dual-registration for Nuneaton Borough, as they went one game away from a place in the National League South. However, they missed out in a penalty shootout against Rushall Olympic.

It had also been confirmed captain Jake Betts would be leaving the club after eight years. He made over 250 appearances for Dynamo, after joining from Loughborough. He had been part of their promotion to step four in 2021.

Also leaving the club are Zayn Hakeem and Toby Ritzema. Both are confirmed as joining Basford United.

Forward Hakeem was the joint-highest appearance maker for the club last season, having made 45 appearances, and was top scorer with 19 goals. Ritzema made 38 appearances himself.
