Shildon part company with management team

Shildon have parted company with their management team after a disappointing start to the season.

They sit fourth bottom in the NPL East Division with one win and five defeats in the league this term.

A club statement said: “Shildon AFC have relieved our management team of their positions as of today, Jamie Tunstall and Dean Brown will no longer be a part of Shildon AFC.

“As a temporary arrangement Alex White and Chay Liddle will be joint temporary Player/Managers. Chris Hughes will be joining the club as Coach.”

Formerly with Crook Town, Tunstall and Brown were appointed in the summer following the departure of Daniel Moore to Hebburn Town following their play-off semi-final defeat to Marske United.
