Silverware parade for sponsors

The Nottinghamshire Senior Cup was on display in Netherfield when Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Carlton Town helped their new first team shirt sponsors from Costa Coffee celebrate the opening of their latest local outlet.

The Millers announced in March that the nationwide coffee shop chain was taking over from the MSR Newsgroup as front of shirt sponsors on their home strip ahead of the outlet's opening on Tuesday.

As part of the deal, Costa Coffee's new Victoria Retail Park branch will help promote the Millers in the community by publicising the club's fixtures, results and functions around their branch.

Long-time sponsors MSR Newgroup remain as the First Division South club's proud main sponsors and are continuing their own efforts to support the club on and off the field.

Carlton Town Vice Chairman Chuck Fowler and Chairman Mick Garton, pictured with the cup at the official opening, announced a freeze on season ticket prices for the new season with adults priced at £110, concessions £80 and children at £40.

When the sponsorship deal was announced, representatives from the company and the new outlet's staff attended Carlton's clash with Belper Town as guests of honour.

They snapped up the first four tickets to go on sale and a delighted Fowler said: "We are honoured to be asked to open this store and bring the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup here with us. We got a very positive response from everyone we spoke to.

"We are excited about this partnership with Costa and I would like to place on record our thanks to Leigh the Area Manager and Lee and Grace at the store for their community support."

He added: "The new Costa home kit will be launched during one of our upcoming friendlies and Costa will be giving away tickets to customers during July for whatever game is chosen at the Bill Stokeld Stadium. We have also talked about staging Costa community fixtures which we will announce details of in due course."
