Six of the best at Rams

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Ramsbottom United are celebrating again after six of their young stars were called up to represent Lancashire.

Sam Crook, Michael King, Sam Milton, Callum Smith and Matt Warburton, along with Ryan Boulton who has been placed on stand-by, will represent the Lancashire FA against Manchester in an Under 18s Northern Counties Youth Championship Division Two match later this week.

The Evo-Stik NPL First Division North club's youngsters kick off for their county on Thursday at North West Counties League oufit Abbey Hey's ground at 7.45pm.

Rams spokesman Tony Cunnigham said: "The club wishes all the players well for the game and congratulates them on their selection."
