Former England international James Beattie is promising to bring a strong Accrington Stanley side to take on New Mills at the EVO-STIK League club's Church lane on Tuesday night.
The 36-year-old took over at the League Two outfit and former Northern Premier League champions last season and confirmed on Monday that he'll be sending his first teamers for their first friendly of the summer after a week and a half of intense training.
Tuesday night's clash kicks off at 7.45pm and is the first of six home friendlies against higher league opposition that Millers manager Roy Soule has deliberately lined up to give his First Division North squad the toughest of tests ahead of the kick off to the new campaign on Saturday 16 July.
Pre-season admission prices are £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for unders 16s.
