EVO-STIK League Farsley AFC are looking forward to taking on Phil Parkinson’s Bradford City side in a high profile pre-season friendly next Tuesday night.

The League One outfit, who played at Wembley twice in 2013, are returning from their tour of Ireland for the friendly at Throstle Nest on 22 July as they ramp up preparations for their season's opener with Coventry City on August 9.

Despite only just missing out on reaching the First Division North play-offs at the tail end of last season, the club's delighted officials expect the friendly against Football League opposition to provide a stern test for Neil Parsley’s men as they prepare for the kick off to the new campaign on Saturday 16 August.

Farsley secretary Josh Greaves said: "We’d like to thank Bradford City for agreeing to this friendly at such short notice and we are really looking forward to playing such a high calibre team. Hopefully this will be a start of a long-running relationship between the two clubs from now onwards."

The game kicks off at 7.30pm with tickets available on the gate.
