Frickley Athletic manager Karl Rose has secured his first signings of the summer in preparation for the new EVO-STIK League campaign.

Luke Hinsley, Luke Jeffs and Joe Wilcox have all re-signed for the Premier Division club from last season and will be playing alongside returning striker Danny South and three new faces - defender Conor Qualter, winger Cameron Harris and midfielder Matthew Young.

South, pictured, is no stranger to Blues fans having scored nine goals in 26 appearances for the club during 2011-12 campaign and early on in 2012-13 before switching to Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Qualter joins from Central Connecticut State in the USA having started last season with First Division North Ossett Town. The 20-year-old kicked off his career as a junior with Leeds United before joining FC Halifax Town in July 2012 and enjoying loan spells at Kendal Town and Northwich Victoria.

Harris is a 20-year-old winger who had a spell last season with EVO-STIK League champions Chorley after joining from Welsh side Pontardawe Town.

Young, 28, arrives from Farsley AFC. The experienced midfielder started his career at Huddersfield Town where he made over 30 Football League appearances. He joined Harrogate Town during the 2008-09 season before moving to Farsley for the first time. He left to join Guiseley when Farsley were liquidated and then spent three seasons at Worksop Town before returning to Throstle Nest again last term.
