Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Blyth Spartans have announced that four of their players have been honoured with call ups to an FA Representative Squad who are taking on the Northern League later this month.
The Football Association are helping the competition to celebrate its 125th anniversary by sending a team managed by England C manager Paul Fairclough to take them on at Bishop Auckland FC on Tuesday 25 March.
Sriker Dan Maguire, defender Nathan Buddle and midfielders Lewis Horner and Matty Wade have been chosen by Fairclough as part of a squad of 16. In addition, Blyth’s keeper Conor Grant and striker Arran Wearmouth have been selected as ‘squad reserves’.
