Evo-Stik Northern Premier Carlton Town will kick off next season with Costa Coffee adorning their home kit for the second year running after announcing that the sponsors were extending their successful partnership.

The First Division South’s Millers teamed up with one of UK’s favourite coffee shop chains in May last year ahead of the opening of their Netherfield branch in the summer, pictured.

According to the sponsors, the feedback from their customers has encouraged them to renew the partnership and they are now planning to increase their involvement at the Bill Stokeld Stadium following the announcement on Monday.

The Millers are hosting a supporter inspired sponsored darts marathon on Friday June 6 to kick off a fundraising campaign to boost their budget next season and Costa Coffee’s area manager Leigh Calladine is set to take part alongside manager Les McJanett and many of the club's stars, fans and officials.

The coffee giants have branches all around Nottingham and Calladine said: "All the comments and feedback we have had at our two stores close to the Bill Stokeld Stadium have been positive.

"Customers appreciate we are putting money back into local sport by supporting the local club and we aim to take that up a level next season with more coverage in the ground and on a personal level.

"I have told the Chairman [Mick Garton] I will give a day up of my own holidays to get involved with this year’s darts marathon and try and help raise them some more money for the club.

He added: "We are keen to support community based principals and the club certainly falls into that bracket. We are delighted the club is doing well."

Carlton’s chairman is delighted to get the backing of Costa for another year after the personal bonds they’d built up with the company’s staff and the way things had gone.

Garton said: "The partnership has been brilliant for the club, not just the kit sponsorship itself but the partnership with the staff at Netherfield where we have given out free tickets and their help with promoting and supporting events at the club.

"They supported our Xmas draw and Jamie the store manager has offered to come and referee a charity match we are holding for the critical care unit at the city hospital in May. For Leigh to give up a day for the darts marathon shows real passion and commitment from them. That’s precious indeed and very much appreciated."
