Proud officials at Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Mickleover Sports have announced that a bus has been named after the First Division South club as part of the Breast Cancer Scanner Appeal for Derby Royal Hospital.
To lend their support, Sports joined the 'Namesake Charity Appeal' which is raising funds for the hospital and a bus on ’The Mickleover’ route now bears the club's name, pictured. The service is operated by Trent Barton, who also have a deal with Sports for cheap tickets on production of their Mango card at the Raygar Stadium.
The idea to help the charity came from programme editor James Edge who has lost twin cousins to the killer disease. Members of the club's committee, who've all been affected by members of their families having breast cancer, quickly agreed and newly named bus left the depot for the first time last weekend.
