Tuesday's Premier Division review

Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division

A seventh successive league win, and thirteenth in all competitions, saw Chorley go top of the Evo-Stik Northern
Premier League's Premier Division table on Tuesday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The Magpies enjoyed a comfortable 5-0 win over struggling Droylsden at the Butchers Arms, although it wasn't until the final 12 minutes that the floodgates really opened fully.

Two goals from Dale Whitham in the 24th and 35th minutes saw the visitors go into the break just 2-0 up, thanks mainly to some brave defending and good goalkeeping from Lewis Fielding.

The second half saw Chorley miss several decent opportunities to extend their lead before the eventually did through James Dean in the 78th minute. And then Paul Jarvis four minutes later, and Dean again in the last minute, ensured Chorley moved a point ahead of Skelmersdale United with two games in hand.
