Woodley Sports have taken team bonding to a new level, climbing Mount Snowdon for charity.
Francis House Childrens Hospice were the benefactors when the entire squad of players, coaches and even board members scaled Snowdonia recently.
1st Team Manager Chris Willcock was keen to use the 'expedition' as a team bonding exercise whilst raising some fantastic funds for the local Childrens Hospice. Woodley have previously dedicated their front of shirt sponsorship slot to the Rainbow Trust, and were keen to show support to another incredible local charity.
Speaking in between large breaths on the way up Snowdon, Chris said "I have been planning an event like this for months, an event that not only unifies the entire club, but also an event that enables us to put something back into the community. Each player has worked hard to raise sponsorship for this event, and in a few weeks time when the aches & pains have since passed, we will be able to count up what we have raised collectively and pass this onto Francis House, which is an incredible place for young people with serious illnesses. The work they do is simply fantastic, and if we can help in any way such as this, then we will endeavour to support them as much as possible".
