Stafford retain Staffordshire Senior Cup

Stafford Rangers ended the season with silverware after scooping the Staffordshire Senior Cup on Monday night.

A solid second half of the season ensured their survival in the EVO-STIK League Premier Division under management duo Alex Meechan and Andy Fearn, appointed in January following the departure of Steve Burr.

They put the icing on the cake by retaining the Staffordshire Senior Cup at Stoke’s bet365 Stadium, with a 3-0 win over Rushall Olympic.

Daniel Burns opened the scoring in the 17th minute before Jake Charles added a brace either side of half-time.
