Stafford target Trophy tie tribute

Stafford Rangers are hoping to mark the official opening of their new Stan Robinson Suite with an FA Trophy victory on Saturday week.

Rangers welcome Ramsbottom United to Marston Road on Saturday 27 October in the FA Trophy’s Second Qualifying Round and have named their new hospitality suite in honour of the avid fan and sponsor, pictured, who passed away earlier this year.

His company, Stan Robinson (Stafford) Ltd, has been the main shirt sponsors for the last few seasons and are holding their company awards evening at the newly opened suite from 7pm.

Guests of the Robinson family will be attending the Trophy tie as main match sponsors and will unveil a plaque at the ground in his memory at 6pm alongside Stafford Rangers Chairman Rod Woodward and his fellow directors. The club are inviting supporters to attend the special event after the match at the suite from 5pm.

Stuart Maun, Stafford’s Commercial Manager, said: "If would be great if we could mark the special day with a win that we could dedicate to the lifelong support that Stan pledged to Stafford Rangers.

"It is fitting that everyone will be able to remember Stan and his total support to the team both on and off the field when they visit both the ground and the social club."
