EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Trafford have congratulated long-serving secretary and groundsman Graham Foxall on chalking up his 1000th consecutive fixture for the club.

After twenty years at Shawe View, Foxall, pictured, reached the milestone last Tuesday night when Trafford beat Ashton United 5-4 at Hurst Cross in the Manchester Premier Cup.

The super stalwart, who is also the vice-president of the Cheshire League after joining the competition's management board in 2001 as the representative for Trafford's reserves, also retired from his day job last week.

Trafford match secretary spokesman Dave Murray said: "Chalked up his 1000th consecutive game with Trafford Football Club is a remarkable achievement that not only demonstrates his amazing dedication and loyalty to the club but also his excellent health and well-being.

"During his 20 years with Trafford, Graham has missed just one game, a home match against Blackpool Rovers so not a bad record. But Graham should also be congratulated on his retirement from work as on Friday of last week he ended his long, and equally dedicated, career as a transport delivery driver. Perhaps he'll spend a bit more time down at Shawe View now!"

To mark the 25th anniversary of the Premier Division club's newsletter this summer, Trafford paid tribute to a Foxall as a part of an ongoing series of tributes to their most dedicated officials and volunteers over the season.
