Stalwart wins long service award

The Lancashire FA are set to award Clitheroe Secretary Colin Wilson with a long service award.

Wilson will be presented with his accolade at the Lancashire FA's upcoming AGM following his 44 years with the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's First Division North club, 43 of them as Secretary.

In team news, three players have left Shawbridge in recent days, skipper Lee Pugh moving on to Conference Premier Chester, keeper Hakan Burton switching to First Division North rivals Curzon Ashton and Danny Mahoney who was released.

The Blues say the rest of manager Paul Moores' squad are likely to stay with them as preparations continue for next season.
