Stockton Town bring in talented goalkeeper

Pitching In NPL East Division leaders Stockton Town have bolstered their ranks with the signing of goalkeeper Nathan Harker.

The 25-year-old joins the Anchors following his release from Marske United.

Harker started his career at Newcastle United and was named on the first team bench for an FA Cup tie at Blackburn Rovers in 2019.

Following his release, he had brief stint at Scarborough Athletic, then later spells in the Northern League with Bedlington Terriers and Whickham.

Harker subsequently joined Marske United and began this season as their number one.

Manager Michael Dunwell said: “I am very pleased to sign Nathan. He will give real competition for the number one shirt.

"He comes with good pedigree and many clubs wanted him after he left Marske United, but fortunately he decided to sign for us.

"He will be a big assett for us.”

Harker joins a Stockton Town side currently eight points clear at the top of the NPL East Division.

He will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game against Liversedge.
