Stopper to see out the season

Derby County goalkeeper Mats Morch has extended his stay in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League with Gresley until the end of the season.

The Norwegian stopper, pictured, arrived at the Moat Ground to play in First Division South from the Championship outfit in November. Morch, 20, has made eight appearances for Martin Rowe's side to date and could feature again on Saturday when the club host Goole AFC.

A Gresley spokesman said: "The club are pleased to confirm that Derby County goalkeeper Mats Morch has extended his loan period with Gresley FC until the end of the season."

After the extension deal was announced on Wednesday, Morch told his fans on Twitter: "Very happy to extend my loan at Gresley FC. Going to learn an awful lot about the game and looking forward to spending four months there!"
