Super six sets new club record!

Trafford's Aaron Burns wrote himself into the club's history books when he scored all six goals in Saturday's 6-0 rout of shell-shocked Goole in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League.

Signed from Ashton United in 2015, the 28-year-old forward, pictured, smashed the club’s individual scoring record as Tom Baker's side ran riot in the EVO-STIK NPL First Division North encounter at Shawe View.

The former FC United of Manchester, Altrincham, Droylsden, Ashton United, Chorley and Nantwich Town striker kicked off his goal glut when he headed home after 12 minutes against the Vikings. He then doubled his side's lead from 12 yards just after the half hour mark and completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot in the 66th minute.

Burns, who made his Trafford debut on 19 December 2015 away at Kendal Town, bagged his second hat-trick in the space of 12 minutes with a fierce low drive and a tap-in from point blank range following a corner before deflecting home a Kyle Jacobs volley.

A club spokesman said: "Burnsy's six goal blast means that he now holds the individual goalscoring record in a single game for Trafford, surpassing the five goals scored by Chris McDonagh last season, Shelton Payne in 2013 and Michael Oates in 2012."
