Talented forward joins Stafford Rangers

Stafford Rangers have signed Ashton United striker Callum Saunders.

Saunders first joined the Robins last summer after scoring 18 goals during the 2021/22 Northern Premier League season for Witton Albion.

He left Witton following their relegation and subsequently moved to Hurst Cross, where he netted six times in 24 appearances in all competitions.

The 27-year-old began his career at Crewe Alexandra before moving to Notts County. He also enjoyed a spell with Curzon Ashton.

Saunders could make his Boro’ debut on Boxing Day against Nantwich Town, another of his former clubs.
