Darlington have confirmed that striker Kerry Hedley is extending his stay with the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's newcomers.

The youngster figured several times last season from the bench for the Northern League champions and scored a memorable goal in Darlington’s 7-2 win over Sunderland RCA in March.

Hedley, a Darlington-born former Hartlepool United youth team player, has continued to impress during pre-season and wins his chance to join manager Martin Grays's revamped First Division North squad after scoring in last Saturday's 3-3 draw at Durham.

Darlington kick off the new season against Warrington Town at Heritage Park on Saturday.

Extended highlights of Darlington’s draw at Durham City are now available to watch online on the club's official YouTube page. To view visit: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=d_ROdroD1oc
