Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Northwich Victoria have publicly thanked Stafford Rangers for sharing Marston Road with them last season.

The Vics, who've been switched to First Division North for the upcoming campaign and are set for a new groundshare with North West Counties League outfit Flixton, released a statement on their website on Thursday thanking Premier Division Rangers for their support and hospitality.

Vics Secretary Dave Thomas said: "As we are about to embark on the latest phase of our history with a groundshare at Flixton FC I would just like to thank everyone at Stafford Rangers for the help and generosity that they showed to us during the 2012-13 season.

"I doubt whether a groundshare has ever run so smoothly and problem free. I must say huge plaudits must go to their genial Secretary Robbie Mullins who worked so hard liasing between the two clubs and making us feel so welcome."

Thomas, whose side kick off their pre-season campaign against Fleetwood Town at their new Valley Road home next Thursday, added: "May we wish Robbie and everyone at Stafford Rangers all the best for the forthcoming season and once again thank you."
