Police are hunting a thief who was caught on camera raiding the referee's dressing room during Brigg Town's 2-2 draw with Kidsgrove Athletic in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League on Saturday.

Officials at the Hawthorns say a number of valuable and sentimental items were stolen during the game and urged the thief to return the items after he was caught on CCTV trying to disguise himself with kit stolen from the away dressing room.

He was also seen by a number of witnesses and the First Division South club's footage has now been handed over to the police who are investigating.

Club secretary Tim Harris said: "The club is asking for the person involved to return the items, either to the club or club official, it is sad that in our 150th year we have to deal with things of this nature."
