Three new arrivals at Hanley Town

Hanley Town have made a triple signing as preparations continue ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Ryan Shotton has delved into the transfer market to bring in defender Josh Green, goalkeeper Adam Whitehouse and young forward Tyrone Ofori.

Green is no stranger to Town supporters having helped the club win the Midlands Football League title in 2021/22, featuring in all but five matches.

The right-back spent last season at Midlands Football League side Shifnal Town and has also previously played for the likes of Fleetwood Town, Macclesfield and Chester, amongst others.

Town have also brought in shot-stopper Whitehouse, who made over 200 appearances for Northern Premier League side Stafford Rangers following his arrival there in March 2014.

Since his exit from Marston Road, Whitehouse has played for Boldmere St Michaels and Rushall Olympic.

Their third and final signing is Ofori, who began his career with Aston Villa.

Spells at Shrewsbury Town and Tamworth followed, before he moved to Italy briefly to link up with Cavese.

Ofori returned back to the UK ahead of the 2019/20 campaign and has played in both Wales and England, most recently at Shifnal alongside Green.
