Throstle Nest hosting charter standard event

The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s Throstle Nest has been chosen to host a training event supporting FA Charter Standard clubs.

The West Riding County FA are taking over Farsley AFC’s ground on Wednesday 16 April after the First Division North club agreed to help out with one of the county FA's regular training events.

Taking place under floodlights at the Nest from 6pm, the coaching programme will focus on changing to different formats of play as part of wider efforts to raise the standards of quality and excellence in football provision offered by clubs within their own communities.

As part of their Charter Standard Award commitments, clubs must attend at least one in service event per year. Those who’ve achieved FA Charter Standard Development or Community Club status must attend two.
