Throstle Nest ladies earn charter standard status

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League AFC Farsley are celebrating the success of their ladies who’ve been awarded FA Charter Standard Status.

Delighted officials at the First Division North’s Throstle Nest announced on Thursday that the Football Association had confirmed the award following the expansion of their ladies section at the start of the season after their junior sides moved away from the boys section at the club.

Club Secretary Josh Greaves said: "There has been a lot of hard work in the back ground over the last couple of months to ensure that we were awarded this before the end of the season. It was a fundamental part of our development plan that the ladies section for season 2013-2014 received this award as quickly as possible."
