Th 38-year-old former Carlisle United, Darlington, Cliftonville, Hereford United, Stoke City, Stockport County, Sunderland, Wrexham and York City stopper, pictured, was named on Wednesday by manager Michael Morton as the EVO-STIK League East club's captain for season 2018-19.
Ingham, who signed a new deal at i2i Stadium last season, told fans: “First of all it’s a big honour to take the armband from a great player and friend Andy Milne. It means a lot to me that I’m able to captain a great bunch of lads at TAFC towards the end of my career.
“It takes big responsibility to lead the side trying to set examples and high standards which hopefully I can. I want to use my experiences gained throughout my career to help the lads, especially the younger members of the squad.
“I want to have great relationships with each player and hopefully create a positive changing room that results with good performances on the pitch. We’ve got a brilliant group of players as well as a top management team so let’s make it a season to remember.”
He added: “It would be nice to lift a trophy as captain before I hang up my gloves. I’m not getting any younger as the lads keep reminding me!”
