Triple boost for Brookbanks

Loughborough Dynamo

Loughborough Dynamo manager Tom Brookbanks has signed up three players with just over a week to go to the start of the new Evo-Stik Northern Premier League campaign, writes John Bryson.

Goalkeeper Laurie Pearson has re-signed for the First Division South’s squad while Brookbanks has brought in two new faces, midfielders Nathan Kelly and Ryan Tinsley.

Pearson, 27, adds experience to the goalkeeping position while Kelly, 23, has arrived from Midland Football Alliance outfit Dunkirk having previously played for Hucknall Town. 19-year-old Tinlsey joins from Nottingham Forest having also played for Leicester City.

But Brookbanks is losing the services of centre-back and new signing Dean Whiley who’s decided to call time on his playing career because of injuries.

Brookbanks said: "I am very pleased with all three signings to the squad but I am very sorry that Dean will not be at the club for the new season. Dean has been with my assistant Mark Harvey for several seasons at previous clubs but two cruciate injuries have taken their toll. Mark and I wish to thank Dean for the great service he has provided over the years and send all good wishes for the future."
