New kit keeps fans in touch!

Witton Albion

Witton Albion's fans will be able to point their smart phones at their playing heroes this season and be taken directly to websites related to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club.

The savvy Premier Division outfit have embraced modern technology to boost interaction with fans by incorporating a QR code - Quick Response code - on the front of their brand new home and away strips, pictured.

Sponsored once again by Sockshop, the new kit is supplied by O’Neills, the Irish sportswear manufacturer who've built their reputation in Ireland by providing all 32 counties with their GAA kits. Most recently, they've moved into the rugby market to supply Widnes Vikings and Harlequins with their kits.

Witton Albion say their new replica shirts will be available in the coming days via the club's shop in a range of sizes. A range of merchandise, including training kit, hooded tops and other accessories, will also be available to order directly from the O’Neills website - www.oneills.com - when the new season gets underway.

Witton Albion Chairman Mark Harris said: "Strips are a vital element of standards in any club. If the team doesn’t look smart or professional it reflects badly. The new kit designed by O Neill’s is an excellent addition to Albion’s tradition of great kits. At the same time income from replica shirt sales is increasingly important, so I hope that Wittoners will soon be wearing the new shirt."
