Trophy hunters in show's spotlight

By David Watters

Non-League journalist Mark Carruthers runs the rule over this weekend's big Buildbase FA Trophy ties on Friday's EVO-STIK NPL Show.

The former Blyth Spartans press officer returns to the hit weekly podcast to look ahead to the third qualifying round action alongside host Ben Hughes and regular guest James Heyes, the EVO-STIK League's social media manager.

Together, the trio hear from a number of the management teams involved in Non-League's showpiece cup competition this weekend - Altrincham boss Phil Parkinson and assistant Neil Sorvel, Paul Carden at Warrington Town, Adam Stevens at Grantham Town and Neil Kitching at Stafford Rangers all giving their thoughts on the hour long show. And with Glossop North End hosting Workington, Hillmen Radio's Tim Barnett and BBC Radio Cumbria's John Walsh are also on the line for an in-depth preview.

The EVO-STIK NPL Show's hit weekly and monthly podcasts have been getting rave reviews from listeners since returning for the 2017-18 campaign after the summer break to build on their best ever listening figures last term and an end of season surge following a series of special live broadcasts from the promotion play-offs.

Still available on iTunes as well as Audioboom and produced by the award-winning team behind FCUM Radio, the podcasts are being sponsored for the fourth season running by the NPL's title sponsors EVO-STIK and since last season have also been available via their own button on the right hand side of the home page of the league's official website.
