Salford City re-claimed top spot in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's First Division North table – and maintained their unbeaten record – by beating Brighouse Town 2-0 at Moor Lane on Tuesday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

But the Bloods had to come back from being a 13th minute Mark Jackson goal down to win, courtesy of goals from Ciaran Kilheeney from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark and then on the hour, Ben Deegan in the 83rd minute and Stephen Hall in time added on at the end.
Spennymoor Town are now fourth, a point behind Droylsden, after winning by the same margin at Lancaster City - their sixth successive victory.
Moors took the lead after 37 minutes with Liam Henderson’s tenth goal of the season when he finished off a flowing move which started from inside his own half. The visitors took control of the game just after half-time when a Stephen Capper effort was handled, and Joe Tait coolly converted from the spot.
Moors went 3-0 up 2 minutes later when a shot by Roberts was parried and Andrew Stephenson was the first to react and head the ball past the stranded keeper. Gavin Cogdon then came on as a sub, and with almost his first touch got the fourth on 67 minutes when Roberts set him up to score an easy tap in. Tom Woods netted a last-gasp consolation for the Dolly Blues.
Northwich Victoria moved level on points with fifth-placed Farsley AFC after a 2-0 win at Flixton against Prescot Cables.
Gary Burnett broke the deadlock with Vics` opener after 68 minutes and then nine minutes from time, Aboubacar Sanogo made sure with a second.
Mossley AFC are just a point and a place behind Vics after beating Ossett Town 1-0 at Ingfield, thanks to Tom Pratt`s 68th minute effort.
Clitheroe won 2-1 at Victoria Park against Burscough with a Nick Ryan own goal getting them going two minutes after half-time and then Sefton Gonzales winning it for the Blues 10 minutes from time after Matt Devine had pulled the Linnets back on level terms five minutes earlier.
The evening`s two other matches ended in draws.
At Station View, Harrogate Railway trailed to a 79th minute Andy Bell goal against Bamber Bridge, but Lawrence Hunter popped up with the equaliser in injury-time.
At Stainton Park, Radcliffe Borough found themselves 2-0 down to bottom-markers Padiham, for whom Robbie Bromley after 58 minutes and James Jenkins seven minutes later threatened a shock, but a brace from Elliott Rokka in the final 15 minutes salvaged a point for Boro.
