Tuesday's First Division North action review

Burscough moved into the play-off places in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's First Division North on Tuesday night after a 2-0 win at Victoria Park against Kendal Town, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Will Jones broke the deadlock by putting the Linnets ahead four minutes into the second half. And seven minutes from time, Liam Rice made sure with the hosts` second.

Mossley AFC moved into seventh and Ossett Albion into third spot after a goalless draw at Seel Park.

Brighouse Town are now only four points behind then top five, despite being ninth, after a 1-0 win against struggling Scarborough Athletic at Queensgate, Daniel Facey scoring the only goal of the night after 24 minutes.

Bamber Bridge went nap at Irongate against second-bottom Harrogate Railway Athletic.

Ali Waddecar bagged a brace in the 16th and 27th minutes and, after Jamie Milligan had made it 3-0 from the penalty spot just before the break, completed his hat-trick four minutes into the second period. Curtis Thompson made it five with 14 minutes left to play.
