Stafford Rangers moved into fifth-place in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League First Division South on Tuesday night – level on points with Gresley FC, who suffered a 4-1 drubbing, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.
Alex Curtis scored the only goal of the game for Rangers in the 70th minute to seal victory at Tividale.
At Norton United, two goals in the first 10 minutes from Lee Cropper virtually ended the game as a contest against Gresley.
Two goals more from Michael Lennon in the 57th and 71st minutes extended the hosts' lead to 4-0 with Jack Langston getting on the scoresheet for the Moatmen three minutes from time.
