Tuesday's First Division South action review

By David Watters

Second-placed Coalville Town picked up all three points in a 3-1 win at The Scholars against fifth-placed Chasetown in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's First Division South on Tuesday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Dean Freeman put the Ravens in front as early as the fifth minute before Chasetown equalised through Henry Eze four minutes before half-time to level the scores.

A second half brace from Alex Troke after 62 and 82 minutes fired the Ravens to victory.

Basford United moved into third spot, overtaking inactive Shaw Lane Aquaforce, after a hard-earned 1-0 win at home to Kidsgrove Athletic thanks to Courey Grantham's strike 10 minutes into the second half.

Belper Town will reckon to be still in with a shout of mounting a top five challenge after their 2-1 Christchurch Meadow victory over Stocksbridge Park Steels lifted them up to twelfth, but only four points adrift of the play-off spots.

The Nailers had to come back from being a 37th minute Joe Lumsden goal down to win, courtesy of Alex Steadman right on the half-time whistle and then Eric Graves on 69 minutes.
