The Tigers travelled to Holt House to play lowly Colne looking to get their promotion chase back on track. And it started well enough for Darren Kelly`s side when Matty Beadle headed home Luke Porritt`s cross after 10 minutes.
And it didn`t bode well for the home side when a free-kick by Janni Lipka to the far post was met by Paddy Miller and he headed back for Tom Pratt to hit it on the half volley and make it 2-0 with only 14 minutes gone on the clock.
But the Lancastrians were back in it within four minutes through Alex Curran with a fine strike from the edge of the box. And then with eight minutes of the first half remaining, Colne equalised, slightly against the run of play, through Altrincham loanee Sean Miller.
The sides battled the heavy pitch and elements in the second half without managing to trouble the score sheet again and it ended a point apiece to leave Hyde in fifth spot, seven points adrift of leaders South Shields, who, like the Tigers, have also only played a dozen league games to date.
