UPDATE: No long term damage for Hollist

By Alan Allcock

Club Statement

"Quorn player Chris Hollist suffered head injuries in a road traffic accident earlier today." [Tue 7th Feb]

"Although the injuries are not thought to be life threatening, the popular young left back has been transferred to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham for assessment."

"Further news will be posted as and when we receive it."

"Previously with Barwell FC, Chris has been a real asset since joining Quorn and last week took the Captains role for the Westerby Cup game against Hinckley United.
Everybody at Quorn FC wishes Chris a speedy and full recovery."

==UPDATE==

"Chris has undergone tests and scans at the Neurology unit of the QMC and the good news is that the initial worries have been allayed and although Chris has suffered a broken jaw that will need wiring, the prognosis is that he will make a full recovery with no lasting damage.

"Things like this put everything into perspective and although we will undoubtedly miss Chris’s presence on the field whilst he recovers fully, we are all mightily relieved that Chris is OK."

The Evo-Stik League would like to add to the club message by also sending good wishes to Chris and hope that very soon he will yet again be taking the field at the Farley Way Stadium.
