Sheffield's manager Ian Whitehorne has extended the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club's loan deal for Jack Waddle, son of former England international Chris Waddle.
League Two Chesterfield have agreed to allow Waddle, pictured, to stay at the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South outfit's BT Local Business Stadium for an extra month.
A delighted Whitehorne was full of praise for Waddle, highlighting the young forward's attitude, and said: "Wadds has been great this past month and he's taken to playing at this level brilliantly, really giving it his all. I don't think we’ve had a bad performance from Jack, and I can honestly say I think he loves it at Club.
"He really wanted to stay that bit longer, his commitment has been really refreshing, and unlike some of the other loanees we've had this season, he's integrated himself into the side and showed an eagerness both on the field and off it."
Sheffield also confirmed on Monday that Whitehorne re-signed goalkeeper Adam Billard from Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division neighbours Stocksbridge Park Steels. Billard has previously played for Frickley Athletic, Worksop Town and Sheffield United.
