Weaver wins England clash

Nantwich Town

Nantwich Town's Weaver Stadium has been chosen to host an England versus Scotland international on Sunday week.

It is the second time that the Independent Schools FA has chosen the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club's ground to stage one of its prestigious internationals. The match on Sunday 5 May kicks off at 3pm and admission is free.

Dabbers Chairman Jon Gold said: "We are delighted to welcome England Independent Schoolboys back to Nantwich. We were honoured to host their game against Australia a couple of years ago which was a great occasion. We look forward to what should be a cracking international match against the Auld Enemy."

Chelsea's Frank Lampard and Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster are among a crop of England Independent Schoolboys who have gone on to make their names in the professional game.
