Wednesday's First Division North action review

New Mills made it back-to-back wins in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's First Division North on Wednesday after easing to a 3-0 home victory over mid-table Cammell Laird, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The Millers` form has improved dramatically since making themselves safe from the drop and three goals in the opening 25 minutes proved too much for Lairds.

Michael Smith gave the Millers a great start with a goal inside four minutes. Then, two goals in a minute, midway through the half from Wes Bancroft and Danny Grimshaw gave Lairds too big a mountain to climb at Church Road.
