The only game in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier First Division North between Ossett Town and play-off chasing New Mills on Wednesday night was postponed but the First Division South encounter between Carlton Town and Belper Town did go ahead, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.
And it saw Belper move into third place in the table, a massive fourteen points in front of sixth-placed Halesowen Town, courtesy of Colin Marrison goal on the hour mark that secured a 1-0 win at the Bill Stokeld Stadium.
The Millers could have few complaints as the Nailers looked the stronger side throughout, and only some fine saves by Martin Kearney prevented the visitors increasing their lead.
