Wednesday's Premier Division action review

By David Watters

The only game in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's Premier Division on Wednesday night saw Hyde United earn a good 3-0 win at the Turnbull Ground against struggling Whitby Town, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

It was a meeting of two out-of-form teams – Hyde travelling across to the North Yorkshire coast having lost their previous four matches, while the Seasiders had one just once since the opening day of the season.

Ayrton Bevins gave the Tigers a 14th minute lead and he eventually doubled their advantage in the 64th minute. Two minutes later and victory was confirmed when Scott Spencer curled in a neat effort to make it 3-0.
