When fair play becomes a winning habit!

With the sportsmanship and winning mentality they’ve been showing since the season kicked off, Bamber Bridge and manager Neil Crowe are already getting used to collecting multiple EVO-STIK League awards.

Last week, they were named as September’s EVO-STIK League Club of the Month in First Division North after bouncing back from a 7-1 home defeat on the opening day of the campaign to go on to win all four games in September and climb into the play-off places.

Before returning to the form they showed last season to reach the promotion play-off final, the Lancashire club showed their determination in the opening weeks to go about winning the right way and Crowe is pictured alongside club secretary George Halliwell collecting August’s fair play accolade from EVO-STIK League FA Respect manager Phil Bradley.

In the tightest of the races to top the fair play tables in the EVO-STIK League’s three divisions, Brig only edged out league newboys Brighouse Town on the technical area marks awarded to Crowe and his coaching team after both clubs collected just two cautions each.

Like the First Division South’s inaugural winners Newcastle Town and Workington in the top flight, Bamber Bridge were presented with an inscribed certificate and bottle of Pol Roger champagne at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.
