Whitby Town captain extends stay

Whitby Town captain Daniel Rowe has signed a new contract with the club.

Rowe, 27, joined the Seasiders from Frickley Athletic in 2019, and has since become a crucial component of the squad, going on to make 168 appearances.

The everpresent defender is delighted to secure a contract extension with the club after manager Nathan Haslam fended off interest from other clubs.

"I'm happy to get this over the line so I can crack on with the rest of the season," Rowe said.

"I'm looking forward to the rest of this campaign as well as pre-season and next year.

"I'm really enjoying my time here. It's been a good few years and now is the time to build and really push for the play-offs next season."
