Whitehead departs Stalybridge for Bury AFC

Central midfielder Tony Whitehead has left Stalybridge Celtic to join Bury AFC.

Born in Ireland, Whitehead started his career at Charlesville AFC before spending six seasons at First Division side Limerick FC, where he made 181 appearances.

He has since featured for Southern United in the New Zealand Premiership before joining Stalybridge Celtic in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, making 33 appearances.

He become's Bury AFC's seventh signing.
