Wire sign Liverpool legend's son

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Warrington Town have signed Mike Kennedy, the son of Liverpool legend Alan Kennedy.

The First Division North Wire completed a number of signings this week ahead of the new campaign on Saturday with Kennedy the headline arrival after he returned from the United States where he'd been playing.

Manager Shaun Reid has also swooped for defender Todd Blayney, who was previously with Conwy Borough in the Welsh Alliance, and goalkeeper Jack Cookson from the Football League's Morecambe.

Another defender, Dwayne Greenwood, previously with Manchester League club Old Altrinchamians, and former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley Mason, have also signed for Reid.
