Witton Albion say they’re already planning for their third annual Witton Beer Festival.

Fans turned out in their droves at Wincham Park in May for the Evo-Stik NPL club’s second festival and organisers say the event was so successful they’re now gearing up for the next one!

Supporters sampled a range of ales and ciders while watching a rerun of their 1992 FA Trophy Final on big screens at the ground and organisers even produced 125 bottles of limited edition Albion 125 Beer to celebrate the newly promoted Premier Division side’s anniversay and day out at Wembley.

Wittoners, eager to take home a souvenir of the birthday celebrations and the day, snapped up the commemorative brew which the club say is now a collector's item. Another special ale is likely to be produced for the next festival which is pencilled in for next May and will once again be in aid of Albion's development fund.

A Witton spokesman said: "If you didn’t get a bottle and still want one, ask around. Many people bought more than one and may be willing to part with a spare bottle, though it’s likely to be an empty one! The Development Fund made a good profit, so thanks to every Wittoner and non Wittoner who came down to support the event and see you all again next year!"
