Halesowen Town honoured a local sailor who died in a submarine accident on Sunday.
The Evo-Stik NPL First Division South side played their part in Halesowen Cricket Club’s 6th Annual Paul McCann Memorial Match when a Yeltz XI took on a Royal Navy team hoping to win back the trophy lifted by Town last year.
The Yeltz also donated a signed football and matchday tickets to a home league game at the event's charity auction in honour of the sailor who died in 2007.
All proceeds are going to the Paul McCann Fund For Needy Children, a charity donating cash to good causes in the Black Country.
