All bar one commit to new campaign

EVO-STIK League Trafford have retained all but one of last season’s squad including top scorer Shelton Payne.

Trafford announced over the weekend that manager Garry Vaughan has re-signed all of the players who took part in last season’s top flight campaign at Shawe View apart from defender Andy Smart who has moved on to First Division North Salford City.

Trafford paid tribute to the Ammies bound player who made 45 league and cup appearances last season and helped Trafford win the Manchester Premier Cup in the final game of their campaign, pictured.

Spokesman Dave Murray said: "The club would like to thank ‘Smartie’ for his last two seasons at Shawe View in which he played a major part in Trafford’s promotion to the Premier Division in season 2012-13."
