Avro forward joins NPL West Division rivals

Former Preston North End youth player Louis Potts has joined Clitheroe following his departure from Avro.

Potts started the season with Northern Premier League side Ashton United, having joined the Robins from Avro last summer.

However, he scored just twice in 16 appearances for Steve Cunningham's side before leaving the club in pursuit of more first team football.

He subsequently re-joined his former club, who currently sit 11th in the Pitching In NPL West Division, six points off the play-offs and level on points with his new side.

Potts scored three times in 13 appearances for Avro, two of which came in a 4-3 victory at Leek Town back in November.

Subject to ratification, the former Workington and Mossley forward will go straight into contention for his Clitheroe debut this Saturday when the Blues host Vauxhall Motors.
