Award winners mark new milestone

EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Stafford Rangers, named as the most social media savvy-club in the country earlier this season, are celebrating another milestone.

After collecting the first ever Football Club of the Year accolade in November at the inaugural 2016 Hospitality Social Media Awards in Manchester, the husband and wife team behind Stafford Rangers TV celebrated the online station's fifth anniversary at the weekend.

Founded by Mark and Pamela Whittaker in 2012, SRFCTV's award-winning coverage has made appearances on the BBC, Sky's Soccer AM and more locally, Big Centre TV, BBC Midlands Today and Central News. To date, the couple have 767 subscribers and after uploading their 800th video last week, now have a truly global audience.

According to their latest statistics, far-flung Rangers fans can now be found downloading all over the world. Nations known to host fans include the United States, Australia, Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, Canada, France, Spain, Sweden, India, Italy, New Zealand, Belgium, Denmark, South Africa, Switzerland, Indonesia, Finland, Singapore, Norway, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Czech Republic, Mexico, Poland, Thailand, Portugal, Turkey, Greece, Hungary, Croatia, Saudi Arabia, Austria, Argentina, Cyprus, Brazil, Kenya, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, Japan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, South Korea, Malta, Nigeria, Philippines, Serbia, Romania, Vietnam, Qatar, Pakistan, Cambodia, Jersey, Iceland, Georgia, Isle of Man, Israel, Egypt, Jamaica, Taiwan, Guam, Bermuda, Morocco, Chile, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Russia, Nepal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Estonia, Latvia, Northern Mariana Islands and Brunei!

The couple, who also run the EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division club's social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, thanked their viewing audience in a statement on Facebook marking the anniversary, saying: "We would like to take this moment to say many thanks to you all for the support that you have given SRFCTV. Without you guys SRFCTV couldn't be what it is today. Thank you and up the Boro!"

No less than ten EVO-STIK NPL clubs - Nantwich Town, Farsley Celtic, Grantham Town, Leek Town, Mossley AFC, Rushall Olympic, Scarborough Athletic, Sheffield, Warrington Town and winners Rangers - monopolised the final shortlist for Football Club of the Year accolade at Manchester's Palace Hotel. Hosted by BBC sports journalist John Inverdale, the Whittakers are pictured collecting their award on behalf of the Martson Road club from EVO-STIK NPL chairman Mark Harris.

Thanks to the success of the EVO-STIK NPL's clubs, the chairman was back at the venue on successive nights to see seven more EVO-STIK NPL clubs flying the flag at the finals of the 2016 Club Mirror Magazine Awards and Ramsbottom United named as Football Club of the Year in front of more than 600 guests.

The Rams, along with Basford United, Carlton Town, Radcliffe Borough, Tadcaster Albion, Trafford FC and Blyth Spartans, all made the final shortlist of ten clubs for the 25th running of awards which were sponsored by BT Sport and hosted by the BBC's Sally Nugent on behalf of Alchemy Media.

Ramsbottom United's matchday secretary Andy Edmundson and joint-managers Paul Fildes and Mark Fell are pictured collecting their award flanked by the EVO-STIK NPL's chairman and Nugent.
